Ash is best known for her roles in the 1985’s CATS Eyes television series, the BBC sitcom Men Behaving Badly show in 1992, and two dramas were Where the Heart Is in 2000 and Holby City in 2009, which was a medical drama by BBC. She also became an author with her book My Life Behaving Badly: The Autobiography in 2007.

She started her career at the age of 4 in a washing-up advertisement called Fairy Liquid. Her education was at the independent Italia Conti Academy stage school. Later, she started her career as a Fashion model where she appeared in various teenage magazines like Pink, Jackie, and so on. Initially, she was photographed by David Bailey. She appeared with her sister Debbie in a 1978 British slapstick comedy called Rosie Dixon – Night Nurse. Her film career started with a romantic movie called Quadrophenia in 1979. She also made her appearance in two music videos, Women in Uniform and Tunnel of Love. she also played a role in the series in 1982. By 1983, she started to appear in the main roles and got into the television series 1983 as in regular role. She is also co-presenter on the Channel 4 music program from 1984 to 1987. She later appeared in the ITV series, followed by the BBC series.
