Police claimed that both women knew each other prior to the altercation. Initially, Paige Theriault was charged with second-degree murder but later charges against her were reduced. Bre McAdam who is a reporter for The Star Phoenix reported that suspect Paige Theriault-Fisher appeared in the court on November 7, 2022, Monday. Meanwhile, a hearing for Paige Theriault’s bail has been scheduled on November 10, 2022, Thursday.

Reportedly, the police responded to a brawl complaint on Nov 5 around 2:41 am in the 200 block of 3rd Avenue South where a woman was suffering from life-threatening injuries. The victim was 23 years of age. She was taken to Medavie Health Services West but despite the medical efforts she could not be revived. Police stated, “The two individuals are known to each other. Patrol officers, as well as members of the Forensic Identification Section, Serious Assault Unit, and the Major Crime Section, are investigating.”
