HCSO: Who was Amanda Crowde, Deputy dead after allegedly shooting herself in head

A 33-year-old Harris County sheriff’s deputy has died within the hospital after a gunshot wound to the head, which her boyfriend says was self-inflicted. Follow More Update On Newsminatii.in


How did Deputy Amanda Crowder Die?

Houston Police say around midnight on Monday, the couple had an argument after leaving Kung Fu Saloon on Washington Ave. in a pickup truck.


Throughout the argument, the lady ended up shot in the head. 

Who was Harris County?

Her boyfriend, who’s a Houston firefighter, reported to police that during the argument he heard a gunshot after which noticed that she had a gunshot wound to the head.

The person told police that he was driving previous Fire Station 6 on Washington Ave. when the shooting happened, and he pulled in to get an assist.

The female deputy was transported to Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Middle in critical condition.

However, hours later, Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez shared the information that she died from her injuries.

“It’s with heavy hearts that we verify the demise of our deputy,” Sheriff Gonzalez tweeted. “Please preserve her, her household, and our agency in your ideas and prayers.”

The sheriff then identified the deputy as 33-year-old Amanda Crowder. Her boyfriend has not been recognized.


Our hearts are heavy and stuffed with sadness over the demise of HCSO Deputy Amanda Crowder (33),” Sheriff Gonzalez wrote in a follow-up tweet. “Please proceed to maintain the HCSO, the household, and pals of Deputy Crowder in your prayers.”

Houston Police is investigating the incident and has but to confirm whether or not the deputy shot herself.
