Brad Raffensperger who is the Georgia Secretary of State, has made it confirm that the run-off election round will take place on December 6, 2022, in Georgia between Herschel Walker and Raphael Warnock which will decide the US senate control. According to the reports, Herschel Walker attained 48.5% votes while Raphael Warnock got a total of 49.4% votes which makes a difference of 35,000 votes between them. The report also reported that a third candidate known as Chase Oliver got 2.1% of the votes is not able to participate in the run-off contest. Herschel Walker addressed his supporters by saying hand in there while Mr. Warnock showed his confidence in winning the run-off contest. Mr. Warnock said, “Whether it’s later tonight or tomorrow, or four weeks from now, we will hear from the people of Georgia.”
The run-off date is earlier than usual. As mentioned above in this article, the run-off contest will happen on December 6, 2022.
